Osaka Station water feature - Amazing!

Clearly our subway stations have to get on the ball! How amazing is this water feature in the Osaka station!

Watch how excited the kids get at around the 3 minute mark. I would have been jumping up and down as well!

Plant bombing!

Call it a kaboom of colorful plant bombs! Similar to yarn bombing, these colorful pouches of succulents have been showing up in urban environments everywhere. Love them!

For instructions on how to make one visit Plantgasm. These would be such great projects for a school making them out of old sweaters.

Hello Dahlia!

Join us for the second week of dahlias, dahlias, and more dahlias!  Hosted at Wollam Gardens, this festival highlights the dynamic process of a working flower farm. You'll get up close and personal to the most beautiful flowers available at this time of year. Ever wonder where Whole Foods gets it's beautiful bouquets from? You guess it- from this farm! I'll be doing two floral design demos at 1pm and 3pm. Join me in the studio to learn how to make wreaths with a modern twist and a new diddy I came up with- character vases! You'll have to join us to find out what in the world that could possibly be!

Some highlights from last week's festival:

Hay rides, digging in the children's garden, paint your own bird houses, artisan markets, lemonade and fabulous goodies for lunch, flamenco dancing, floral demos, and much much more! If you live in the northern Virginia area, DC or Maryland you don't want to miss it. For more info visit WollamGardens.com

Crankbunny: My go to stationary store

We love to peruse the shop of Crankbunny. Her pop-up cards, puppets and paper novelties always bring a smile to those on the receiving end of her gifts. Who wouldn't want a tattooed victorian lady puppet, right? As an animation director by day and paper puppet magic rabbit fish at night (her words) she obviously can get out of bed in the morning and love her life. Want to trade shoes for a day Crankbunny?

Find all of her fantastical designs in her shop!
