Creative ways to mend holes

One of the boys has a huge hole in his pants on the knees. I have never been able to mend holes very well as they tend to open up again. Take a look at Karen Barbe's creative mending patches. They are so sweet that they kind of make me want to patch non-holey items as well!

Love this post. I Pinned it and shared on FB. My mom was a talented darner. I wish I knew what happened to her ceramic darning egg (actually, it look more like a chicken drumstick) - and it said, \"Socks, darn it!\". I'm guessing it was a shower gift in 1951. But your patches are works of art!!! Amazing!
